I am a Dutch-Ghanaian visual artist based in Rotterdam, born in Arnhem, raised in Ghana, and shaped by time spent living in Ireland and the Netherlands. My practice explores themes of identity, movement, and transformation through painting, textile, and art direction, inspired by heritage and lived experience across these places, with colour as a central force. 

Working primarily with painting on large canvases and paper, I engage with the material as a space of becoming, where forms shift and unfold over time. Composition develops through the act of making itself, as gestures, materials, and spatial relationships guide the work forward rather than an imposed image. Movement, of the body, of nature, and of flow, runs through the work as both subject and method. 

Layers, textures, and lines carry a sense of what has been lived and carried, allowing identity to emerge as fluid and in transition rather than fixed. Textile expands my exploration into softness, using recycled fabrics to explore form and rhythm. Across mediums, I observe how colour, material, and form interact, allowing space for experimentation and a sense of play. Forms emerge in layers, each one a response to the last.
